Lance Scoular is the Founder and CEO of Key Directions, Specialists and Facilitators in Global Business, eCommerce and Knowledge Broking. Lance’s experience and expertise in international trade spans 40 years and a diverse range of organizations: multinational companies (3M Company & Baxter Healthcare); directorships with companies in the areas of freight forwarding, customs brokerage, international sales and marketing; Industry peak bodies; and Government Organisations. He has also founded a number of businesses over a 30 year period and is currently developing a number of websites to assist people who want to achieve financial freedom and personal success in various dimensions. With a unique understanding of the workings of the “stakeholders” in global business, (corporate, governmental, multinational and SME’s,) he is able to share his knowledge and insights in a clear, simple and understandable style. Lance has developed, provided and lectured at various courses, seminars and workshops relating to International Trade at institutions around Australia and Internationally. "Exporters and Importers - Survive and Prosper" Scoping Report for Sea Cargo Automation Manual/Training Project for the Cargo Automation Development Fund February - 1999 The Cargo Automation Development Fund (comprising representatives from the Australian Customs Service and peak bodies relating to importing and exporting) funded a scoping report into the provision of a systems manual and training options for the Sea Cargo Automation System particularly utilising electronic and Internet/ World Wide Web delivery. MAJOR PRESENTATIONS ‘GST Start-Up Seminars for the International Transport Sector’ In 2000 Lance developed, organised and delivered 47 Seminars nationwide for the GST Start-Up Office and a consortium of the Australian Federation of International Forwarders, Australian Institute of Export, Australian Shipping Federation & Liner Shipping Services. Other partners included: Australian Taxation Office, AusIndustry, and State and Territory Export Councils Cargo Management Re-engineering The Australian Customs Service had been restructuring it’s computer systems and also associated processes relating to the importing and exporting of goods.Lance was one of a team on Industry and Customs presenters running workshops nationally on the changes being implemented by the Australian Customs Service with the introduction of Cargo Management Re-engineering. ‘CMR Getting EXPORTS Right from 1 July 2002” CMR Workshops - Digital Certificates & Export Reporting - 2003 - Import Reporting and Declarations and CMR - Digital Certificates & Export Reporting - 2003 Representation on Committees Lance has served as an industry representative on the following committees: Australian Customs Service - Cargo Management Reengineering Learning and Development Forum Lance Scoular is a Licensed Customs Broker with AQIS Accreditation and has Certificates in Export, Supervision, Training and Management.
