Hi Ho and welcome,
Just a short note on how you can use Social Media Triangulation to create powerful and comprehensive networks.
Why build Powerful Social Media Networks?
In today’s economic environment, whether you are a professional, a business owner, an entrepreneur, an entertainer or wanting to build your future career, or, on the other hand, you want to promote a not for profit organisation, a charity, a special interest group or some other worthwhile cause or purpose, then Social Media provides a no cost way of achieving that.
Also, in the New Global Economy, uncertainty of the viability of some of the social media business model is questioned, when we have seen some big manes in commerce, industry and the financial sectors disappear to the despair of their creditors.
So, building separate networks, acts as a back-up system, should one or more of these popular networks founder and disappear. You will still have one of the other as a fall back.
Common Sense and Strategy
I’ve assessed each of the four dominant and fastest growing social media networks, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. I made a simple common sense list of the advantages and disadvantages of each one.
Once I reviewed the strengths and weaknesses of each network, it occurred to me how to develop a simple yet powerful strategy to increase the capabilities and potential of your own network. Perhaps you have discovered the same concept?
Dynamic Public Relations Tool
I realised that by combining these four networks, anyone could develop a synergy that built on the strengths of each network individually. Collectively, these four social media networks provide powerful, comprehensive and dynamic Public Relations tools.
In the initial stages of my testing I didn’t utilize YouTube and only added it recently to my Social Media mix.
If you want to build a significant and effective network for yourself, then join me at these four Social Media Networks to reap the benefits each one provides.
1) FACEBOOK
At Facebook, you have the advantages of its multimedia options, in that, you can utilise text, photographs and video. This becomes an effective medium for text and graphical promotional activities.
You can also create separate pages for Business, Organisations or for your “Fans”.
At LinkedIn, you have the world’s largest professional network, which is essentially an online resume.
This provides you with a professional hub where people can check your own credibility and experience and you can also check theirs. Importantly, you can link in to a wide variety of special interest groups within LinkedIn.
At Twitter, the micro blogging network you can, quickly get messages out via the web, PDA or cell/mobile phone, as well as keep up to date with up-to-the-minute news and information.
You can also accelerate your network growth dramatically faster with Twitter which is not possible with the other above mentioned networks.
YouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload, share and view videos. Unregistered users can watch the videos, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. There is no cost as with the other social networks mentioned above. ,
Recent viral video sensations include the Scottish singer “Susan Boyle: I Dreamed A Dream - Britain's Got Talent 2009 - The Final
The customer complaint payback, Dace Carrol’s hilarious musice video “United Breaks Guitars”
,
and the amazing “JK Wedding Entrance Dance”
,
Whilst the first two videos had a deal of money and production behind them, the JK Wedding Entrance Dance was just an armature video uploaded to YouTube but became an overnight video pandemic so to speak.
You too could get some traction, and publicity using this medium.
Check out YouTube and start thinking how you can take advantage of the free service for your videos.
I look forward to getting to know you better on these social networks.
